Life Skills

One of the many ways RTR will help clients with life skills is by teaching them how to communicate effectively and learning how to deal with thoughts and emotions in a healthy and beneficial way.

Process Group

Being a part of a process group at RTR allows feedback, perspective, and accountability from peers and helps challenge one another on negative beliefs and behaviors, while providing support and encouragement to make positive changes.

Relapse Prevention

Relapse Prevention is a crucial aspect of addiction treatment focusing on identifying triggers, developing coping strategies, and creating a supportive environment to minimize the risk of relapse.

FAQs about Our Spokane Drug Rehab

Our Spokane outpatient drug rehab program allows individuals to receive therapy, counseling, and support for substance use and mental health while continuing to live at home. Unlike inpatient rehab, outpatient care does not require overnight stays. It’s a flexible option suited for people with a stable home environment and a mild-to-moderate level of addiction.

We offer the following programs at our drug treatment center in Spokane:

  • Standard Outpatient Program (OP): Typically 1 to 2 sessions per week. Best for those in later stages of recovery.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): 3 to 5 days per week, 3 hours per session. Provides more structured support while allowing daily life to continue.
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): The most intensive outpatient level, offered most days of the week. It’s a step below inpatient care and is sometimes called “day treatment.”

Outpatient rehab is typically recommended for people who:

  • Have completed a residential or detox program and need continued support
  • Have a mild to moderate substance use disorder
  • Have a supportive, substance-free home environment
  • Have work, school, or family obligations they need to maintain
  • Are motivated and have a strong personal support network

Our team can assist you in determining whether outpatient drug rehab is the right level of care for your needs.

This varies by program level, but you can generally expect:

  • Individual therapy sessions with a licensed counselor
  • Group therapy and peer support discussions
  • Educational workshops on addiction, coping skills, and relapse prevention
  • Life skills groups and employment/resume building education groups

We offer many holistic therapies as well, including acupuncture and nutrition education, to support overall wellness.

Our drug rehab programs often use approaches such as:

  • Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT): This cognitive-behavioral approach helps clients enhance their moral reasoning and decision-making.
  • Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT): Some programs offer medications like buprenorphine or naltrexone to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms
  • Acupuncture Therapy: We offer acupuncture therapy services to support emotional and physical well-being
  • Life Skills: These sessions help clients learn effective communication skills and healthy coping strategies to support their recovery long-term
  • Resume Building: We assist clients in professional development through our employment education groups

The length of treatment depends on the individual’s progress and needs. Some programs last a few weeks, while others continue for several months. Long-term participation often leads to stronger recovery outcomes.
